I like the calmness and elegance the old farmer takes his wife and his faith with. Some people tend to forget that they did ask for what looks to be a curse on their lifes now.

"Dietrich came down the hill from town by something brisker than a trot and stiffer than a skip." LOL!

Marburg must be a beautiful city, and that is a nice lamppost in front of Elizabeth's Chruch.

I was hoping nobody would notice the lamp-post. I spent the morning looking for a photo of the church that showed the towers the way I described them and decided this photo was good, unless people noticed the lamp post. Thank you for leaving your comment here instead of at Waking Ambrose.

That is a nice photo of the impressive towers, and the lamppost is just the way life goes. Ok. :)

I suppose a photo of the church from the 16th century would have been a lot to hope for.
