In the 50's and 60's kids here learnt about dialectical metarialism on weekdays and were grabbed to the church by sneaky grandmothers on Sundays.
Ariel, I just saw a movie with Alec Guinness where he plays a priest in Budapest during socialism and the government conspires against him in the hope of winning back the grannies.

And how things change. Socialists still have a thing for grannies, and grannies are now in love with them, too.
