Le Roi Des Fous

Here, now, on April Fool's Day,
Which returns each year in May,
Let's take time to rededicate
Ourselves to whate'er made us great.

With folly as first principle,
Let other cares be minceable
And seek in every way and thing
A nat'l hero, judge and king.

Who is the wisest fool, let's ask,
And how best to achieve our task?
I'd begin, I'll share with thee,
By searching the majority.

The Fool--favorite tarot card

Peace Always

The Fool also represents the complete faith that life is good and worthy of trust. Some might call the Fool too innocent, but his innocence sustains him and brings him joy. In readings, the Fool can signal a new beginning or change of direction - one that will guide you onto a path of adventure, wonder and personal growth. He also reminds you to keep your faith and trust your natural responses. If you are facing a decision or moment of doubt, the Fool tells you to believe in yourself and follow your heart no matter how crazy or foolish your impulses may seem.

Doug, Socrates was the guy he drank the cup of poison, and knew that he knew it. :-P

I am a houseplant.

Ariel, Rabbit rabbit.

Weirsdo, I think Churchill had the proper line on that.

Ariel, I suspect the wisdom of that could be argued both ways.

Anonymous, I don't doubt it.

Thanks, Actonbell. I can wait and see.

Rabbit, rabbit, Doug!
Novel thoughts here as usual for you. I like!
Seems April 1 may last a whole month in the search of fools.

Question: Does the wise fool study to become wiser or more foolish? (I think the wise fool doesn't study, rather he likes his status quo because he doesn't have a clue.)
..
BTW, I have a blogging friend, The Lazy Blogger, who only posts once a month or so. He comments, etc, more than that though. Incidently he lived and worked in SoCal but moved to Omaha to retire.

Speaking of leaving comments on other people's blogs, one time Jim left a comment on "A bologna sandwich" about mustard and mayonnaise.

It was back in January. I think the Editor may have referred to it on this blog.

Jim, good question. As a foolish fool, I can't answer it.

Flip, I don't recall.

Pia, you've been busy with your spectacular Psychology Today column and rightly so.
